Dyson DC08T - this differs from the standard DC08, it makes the hose and wand wrap telescope, which for compact storage and carrying around the functions. I have this from new. I bought it about a year ago. It 'pretty good on carpets, but the head of the turbine is bad laminate, and linoleum in particular. The contact line is the best for these areas. The turbine uses a clever head of Clean-Air Design, where dirt and turbine bypass - this means that you do not damage theturbine when picking up a coin/gravel/ etc. It brings up the carpet pile nicely. This cleaner gets used every day. It gets chucked in the back of my car, crashes around when I turn corners etc, but it's holding up pretty well.
